ACCA 32nd Graduation Ceremony
Presents achievers for first placing in Malaysia and Worldwide
ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) celebrates the graduation of 379 students who have successfully completed the ACCA professional qualification for December 2006 examination.
YBhg Datuk Abdul Samad Alias, Chairman of Malaysia Venture Capital Management Berhad and Immediate Past-President of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) present the graduating scroll in Kuala Lumpur.
The ceremony also includes the Achievers’ Award presentation for December 2006 examinations that recognises Malaysian top achievers who has achieved first placing in Malaysia and Worldwide for various ACCA, CAT and DipFM papers. The Achievers’ award is presented to a total of 16 ACCA Malaysian prizewinners, 10 CAT Malaysian prizewinners and two more awards were presented to Malaysian Prizewinners for Diploma in Financial Management.
The ceremony also highlights recognition for overall achievements to four outstanding affiliates, to receive the Top3Malaysian Affiliates awards. This recognition is based on the CUMULATIVE marks for the core papers of Part 3 – the final part of the ACCA qualification.
ACCA with Oxford Brookes University as partner also presents a special award to Mr Ong Chee Ming, student from Malaysia who has been accorded the 5,000th Oxford Brookes University (OBU) Graduate. Mr Ong Chee Ming has achieved First Class Honours of the Oxford Brookes, BSc in Applied Accounting degree for January 2007 examination. He is awarded the, “5,000th Graduate Commemorative Award” for demonstrating academic excellence in CAT and ACCA professional examinations as well as demonstrated his graduate level skills in the Oxford Brookes Research and Analysis Project.
