Your new online support for practical experience

Passing the exams is only part of the requirements for becoming an ACCA member. Just as important is gaining the right type of relevant training.
As part of the new ACCA Qualification, ACCA has developed a trainee development matrix (TDM) to help you plan and record your practical experience.
You don't have to wait until you have been converted over to the new exam syllabus to start completing the new practical experience requirements. You can access the TDM now by visiting myACCA using your secure login and passcode.
The TDM can be used to:
- record any practical experience you have gained or are gaining at the moment
- transfer elements of competence you have completed under the existing practical experience requirements to the new performance objectives
- bank experience you have already gained
- complete an annual return.
ACCA has also put together a variety of support sheets and case studies to provide you with guidance and advice when it comes to gaining and recording your practical experience and these can also be accessed via the TDM.
Don't forget that as part of the new practical experience requirements you will need to complete an annual return - even if you are a full-time student or working for an ACCA approved employer - and you will need to make your first annual return by 31 December 2007.
So why not take a look at the TDM now? You may already be well on the way to achieving some of your performance objectives and one step nearer to ACCA membership.
