Graduation ceremony
On 7 December 2007 the formal ceremony for presentation of diplomas to graduates of ACCA, who passed their final examination in December 2006 and June 2007, took place at the very prestigious Hotel Marriott in Warsaw .
The ceremony was combined with announcement of the results of the charity event which ACCA Office in Poland organized on 17 November in one of the biggest shopping centers in Warsaw to raise funds for children suffering from cancer cured in Pediatric, Hematological and Ontological Clinic in Warsaw . The ceremony was attended by dr Agnieszka Pludowska from the Clinic to whom Malgorzata Sawicka, Head of ACCA Poland, handed over a check for 60 200 zlotys for the children in the hospital.
Approximately 100 people attended the event, amongst them ACCA graduates and members, tuition providers, national accounting bodies, partners and sponsors.
The ceremony was opened by Malgorzata Sawicka, Head of ACCA Poland who welcomed the guests and delivered the opening speech. Speech was also given by our guests of honour, Jerzy Pruski, First Deputy President of the National Bank of Poland and Brendan Murtagh, ACCA Vice President.
Afterwards ACCA certificates were presented to graduating students by President Brendan Murtagh who personally congratulated them. A group commemorative photographs were taken and all graduates received the ACCA badges.
After that Gustaw Duda, ACCA President in Poland presented his speech and summarized ACCA Poland Executive Committee activity.
Consecutive part of the event was awarding prizes for the best ACCA students in Poland in June 2007 exam session. Then Malgorzata Sawicka presented ACCA activities in Poland in the year 2007.
At the end of the Graduation Ceremony there was a artistic presentation with violinist performance, excellent buffet prepared by the Hotel Mariott, business cards prize-draw and many other attractions.
