Target Audience:All CPD Code:081022KK1 Speaker's ProfileMr Vincent HorVincent is an Associate member of The Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretary and Administrators (ACIS). He holds a Certificate in Tax Management (Distinction) under a HRDF Prolus course. Vincent is also a Trainer registered with Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB-MIM). Vincent's career in taxation began with a medium-sized accounting firm in Kuala Lumpur . He moved on to join Ernst & Young's International in corporate tax department. He let the firm in year 2000 to set up his own practice in providing professional services in the field of taxation, corporate secretarial, business financial planning, management services and communication training. Now he is engaged by companies to provide in-house training in taxation, management development, leadership enrichment, communication and creativity thinking. To-date he has trained more than 6,000 professionals, directors, entrepreneurs, executives and students. Vincent has served clients in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, retail and construction. He has conducted various types of communication workshops and soft skills training to companies and institutions of higher learning. He had training engagements at MAICSA, UBS Corporation Bhd, Malayan Flour Mills Bhd, Maybank, Chen & Associates, Rentokil Initial (M) Sdn Bhd, Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara (JPN), Universiti Malaya (UM), Kolej Tunku Abdul Rahman (KTAR) and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). He was a workshop presenter at Universiti Malaya-Industry Seminar 2006. He was a panel speaker at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UiTM) Student Conference 2004 attended by more than 900 participants. In 2004, Vincent also spoke at KTAR's Business Management Society's talk on "Realising Your Dreams Through Effective Communication". Vincent is an accomplished speaker and has won many Toastmasters International speech contests at clubs, areas and divisions level. He received the highest Toastmasters International award ie the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) in 2006. He received the coveted Division W's Toastmaster of The Year award in 2003/2004 for his excellence in leadership and communication. Now he is a Trainer at the District 51 Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI) serving 256 clubs in Malaysia , Indonesia and Brunei with membership of more than 6,200 toastmasters in the District. His passion, sincerity and conviction in public speaking have touched many people's life. He believes that oral communication starts from the heart, and when shared with others, it will enrich their life, one at a time. |
