| Hertz is the largest car rental company in the world and we have established our European Service Centre in Swords, Co Dublin. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant. This role will be reporting directly to the Manager of Accounting Services. In this role you will be responsible for the management of the Centralised General Accounting function through migration period and forward to ensure all General accounts are accurate, true and completed within the timeframe set out in our SLA’s with the various business units. Your key responsibilities in this role will be to: 1. Manage the centralised General Accounting team through migration period with focus on developing and improving the process. 2. Review and agree with General Accounting SLA’s with each business unit 3. Escalate and report of all critical issues identified by the General Accounting team and an action plan put in place to resolve issues. 4. Identify any risk / fraudulent activity on accounts and related escalation 5. Establish strong working relationships with business units and in country finance to develop a collaborative approach to resolution of reconciling items 6. Ensure that PDPR’s and One to Ones are delivered to all team members in line with HESC objectives as well as responsibility for ensuring each team member receives the training and coaching they require to achieve their goals and objectives 7. Ensure that the relevant back up is provided to the Reconciliations team 8. Identify& drive forward process efficiencies within the area and in particular focus on automation of reconciliation processes 9. Support and demonstrate in your daily tasks the Vision, Mission & Value of HESC. | |

| - Finalist in Professional Body (ACCA) preferable - Ability to manage a team essential - experience of people/team management - Minimum of 3 years working in a financial environment essential (TL level or above) - Ability to priortise essential - Excellent communication skills – ability to communicate at all levels essential - Proactive, enthusiastic attitude to work and committed to continuous process improvement - Must be accurate, diligent and able to meet targets and deadlines essential - Good working knowledge of skills MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint essential - Working knowledge of Oracle General Ledger, Purchasing, AP and Fixed Assets | |
