| The MBA is awarded by Oxford Brookes University. The development of the MBA arose out of the
strategic alliance formed between the Business School at the University and the Association of
Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) initially to provide students studying for ACCA's
professional examinations with a route to obtaining an Oxford Brookes University Award.
The BSc in Applied Accounting was successfully launched in 1999 with the first students
graduating in December 2000. The partnership between the University's Business School
and its relationship with ACCA forms The Oxford Institute of International Finance, through
which the MBA is delivered. The MBA for ACCA members was launched in 2001. The full180
credit programme open to non-ACCA members is an exciting new development to emerge
from the alliance. Oxford Brookes University Oxford Brookes University has over 15,000 students and enjoys an international reputation for innovation and high quality in both education and research.
