Careers Celebration and Champagne!
Newly elected ACCA President Richard Aitken-Davies introduced key note speaker Jeff Grout to over 100 new members and guests at The British Museum in London on Wednesday 4 June. This annual event now in its third year is ACCA’s recognition to all those affiliates who had converted to ACCA membership from January 2007-March 2008. Jeff Grout who is listed as one of the 100 best business speakers in Britain engaged the audience with a most inspiring presentation about success.
Jeff included references from his own personal experience in his former role as UK managing director of a leading recruitment consultancy; he gave tips on how to keep staff motivated and enthused. This was followed by several DVD clips of high achievers in sport, of which he summarised by relating it back to achieving success in your chosen career, very apt for the audience.
Members were encouraged to stay for the champagne reception and canapés afterwards, this gave them the opportunity to network with fellow members and ACCA council members.
Presidents and panel members representing, Sussex, Central London, Liverpool, Harrow, Southern, North London and Norwich members’ networks were in attendance, and a fabulous evening was had by all.
